Creating sacred spaces where artistic and poetic immersion integrates Black sensuality, embodiment, and reverence into the fold.
A Spiritual Force and Mystic Muse
Dasia Hood is a visionary and poet.
Dasia Hood, a.k.a. Hood Deity, is the CEO of DH MEC LLC, founder of Dark & Divine, and editor of Dark & Divine Journal. Her poetic passion began when her mother gave her a journal to help her channel her intuitive dreams and deep feelings. Dasia developed a reverence for sensual expression as an exotic dancer before becoming a figure model.
Her creative institution, DH MEC LLC, produces publications, curates, and creates for wellness and cultural institutions. She launched her multimedia art series, Dark & Divine, in 2024, achieving an astonishing impact and success in the art world. In 2025, she unveiled Dark & Divine Journal, a sanctuary for the sovereign and sensual, in the form of a journal-style subscription that goes deeper into divine expression and ritual.
Hood’s goals are to help Black women decolonize their minds, bodies, hearts, and souls, continuing the evolution of freedom across the Diaspora. She is becoming a renowned spoken word artist on the scene and teaches poetry to adults and children.
